Andrei Karpovich: We played for one goal, the score does not reflect what was on the pitch

24.Sep.2023

– First of all, I am glad to be back in Petropavlovsk. I have my own history, I used to work here. Only positive emotions and memories of the fans and the club. I am glad that now “Kyzylzhar” is a serious team that sets high goals. This is not the team that was before that could fly out in the First League and come back again. I am happy for this club. Today’s match confirms it. A difficult game. Of course, I think we had an advantage in terms of chances. Especially, the first half was not bad in quality, but in the end we could not score any goal. Games are not won without scoring. In terms of tension until the last seconds it was difficult, because 0:0 is always a slippery score. Probably, we played for one goal, the score does not reflect what was on the field. Perhaps, I’m not completely objective, but I thought we should have scored and won, with all due respect to Kyzylzhar. They have the most organized team in the league. We realized that it would be difficult. We were coming here for three points and during the match refreshed the entire offensive line. We wanted to improve the game through substitutions, but it didn’t work.
