Football club «Aktobe» is one the of most titled clubs in Kazakhstan. A five-time champion of the country. Home arena is the Central Stadium, was opened in 1975. Nowadays, the stadium holds over 12 800 people and is unique in its kind. The football arena was one of the first in the USSR without treadmills. Club’s colors are red and white. The main fan movement is the organization called 13 SECTOR.
In the early 2000s, the club has participated in European tournaments for 11 years in a row. Starting with the qualifying rounds, the club several times stopped in a step from the group stage of the European Cup. There were 15 victories, 11 draws and 20 losses in 46 games, the overall goal difference was 54-64. The first match in the European Cup was held with the club «Liepājas Metalurgs». «Aktobe» won the first match against Austrian club named «Mattersburg». The biggest victory was achieved with a score of 4:0 (Hafnarfjörður, Iceland, Champions League 2009-10). The biggest loss was with a score of 1:5 (Dynamo Kyiv, Ukraine, European League 2013-14).

The Central Stadium is the main football arena of the city and home arena of the football club «Aktobe». It was built in 1975. August 28th became the opening day and this day, the match was between clubs «Aktyubinets» and «CSKA» (0:1), the goal was scored by Boris Kopeykin. The stadium is the country’s most visited place. It can accommodate up to 12 800 people.
