53-year-old Slovak specialist Stefan Tarkovic has been appointed as head coach of Aktobe football club.
As a player, Tarkovic played for several teams in his homeland, including "Tatran" and "Rapid". He began his coaching career at Bratislava's "Slovan" club, then served as assistant head coach for Slovakia's U17, U18, U19 (including girls) national teams. Additionally, he honorably fulfilled various duties at renowned clubs such as "Kosice" and "Zilina".
At the national team level, he led Slovakia to the 2020 European Championship and guided Kyrgyzstan to the third qualifying round of the 2026 World Cup for the first time in history.
